Our mission statement is "Building community through World Music Drumming". We strive to enact this statement by providing a high quality World Music Drumming program that develops the skills we all need to be successful members of our community. It is our long-term goal to bring the diverse members of our community together by participating in drum circles.


Some history of Circle of Peace Program
1999:
Program to help at-risk inner city youth through World Music Drumming is conceived. Working title of "Out Reach Music Program" is used.

2000-2001:
Fund raising begins to send the Program Director to the World Music Drumming Course and to purchase a set of World Music Drums for use with at-risk youth

Program Director attends World Music Drumming Course from June 24-29 at Conference Point on Lake Geneva, WI USA

September Circle of Peace program begins at Caroline Robins Elementary School.
October  Circle of Peace program begins at White Buffalo Youth Lodge.
January Circle of Peace program begins at Pleasant Hill Community School.
February Circle of Peace program begins at Egadz
.
April Circle of Peace program begins at Four Directions Retrieval Program.
May Circle of Peace program begins at White Buffalo Youth Lodge.

2001-2002:
September  Circle of Peace program begins at White Buffalo Youth Lodge and Pleasant Hill Community School.
October Circle of Peace program begins at Caroline Robins Elementary School.
January Circle of Peace program begins at Pleasant Hill Community School.
February Circle of Peace program begins at Egadz.
April Circle of Peace program begins at White Buffalo Youth Lodge.
May Circle of Peace program begins with inner city youth and seniors at Luther Riverside Terrace.

June Program Director attends World Music Drumming Course in  June at Conference Point on Lake Geneva, WI USA

2002-2003:
September  Circle of Peace program begins at White Buffalo Youth Lodge.
October Circle of Peace program begins at Westmount Community School.
January Circle of Peace program begins with youth at Nutana Collegiate with youth from Family Service Saskatoon's Performing Arts Program.
March  Circle of Peace program begins at Pleasant Hill Community School.
May Circle of Peace program begins with inner city youth and seniors at the  Franklin Retirement Community.

August Program Director attends Facilitators Playshop  with Arthur Hull at Camp Mokuleia, Hawaii, USA

2003-2004:
September to December  Circle of Peace program runs at Pleasant Hill Community School.
January Circle of Peace program begins with youth at Nutana Collegiate with youth from Family Service Saskatoon's Performing Arts Program.
March  Circle of Peace program begins at Westmount Community School.
April Circle of Peace program begins at Seniors Residence in Saskatoon.
May  Circle of Peace program begins at White Buffalo Youth Lodge.
